Description

Lion-Gard is a versatile rupture disc in our OE Lion range, which is designed for the specific requirements of lithium-ion batteries. The low-profile designs maximize accuracy and safety while saving space on the battery housing. The disc can be bolted, threaded, clamped or mounted between flanges, offering options for venting directly to atmosphere or into pipes and ductwork.

A range of different disc profiles deliver pinpoint burst accuracy at the lower pressures typically found in lithium-ion batteries used for e-Mobility. We can customize the design for very low pressures, or you may like to consider our Lion Flat Comp or PLR for Lithium-ion Battery Safety instead. Our team of custom battery design engineers can advise you on the best design options for efficient pressure relief for your particular battery cell, pack or enclosure.

Lion-Gard is compatible with our Dual-Gard breather membrane technology, which improves lithium-ion battery safety by providing ongoing pressure equalization alongside emergency pressure relief.
