The FV-C curved explosion panels are rectangular, single-skinned metal explosion vents. We curve the flat panel to a custom radius for direct installation onto cylindrical vessels. There is no need to purchase or fabricate an additional metal collar or other flange adapter for installation. The curved design also reduces the risk of dust accumulating in front of the panel and preventing it operating properly in an emergency.
FV-C explosion panels are suitable for applications with a low vacuum or low working pressure (up to 50% of static burst pressure). Typical applications include bucket elevators, conveyors, silos, and cyclones.
The FV-C panel comes ready to bolt into the Xplo-Gard vent bodies with an integral flange and gasket. The wide gasket provides a fully dust-proof seal.
The standard burst pressure is 1.45 psi / 0.1 bar (max. 7 psi / 0.5 bar) at 22ºC (72º F). To ensure the correct burst pressure is achieved, the FV-C panel is tested after the curve has been formed.
